Phased Approach
CyberPoint uses a phased approach in all of its development efforts, regardless of the platform, environment, database or language set. The phased development approach allows customer involvement during all phases of the development effort. It also allows prototyping and application evolution throughout the development lifecycle.
Our customers' user communities have the opportunity to review the work completed throughout the project. Our clients and the CyberPoint Teams mutually define changes in the development methodology, approach and functionality early in the development process. Because the timeframes for development are generally so aggressive, the earlier that required changes are defined, the simpler they are to implement.
Joint Application Development
CyberPoint Inc., believes in the skills, expertise and knowledge of our client end-user communities and project management teams. The successful, timely and complete development of any application depends heavily upon the input from our clients.
CyberPoint Team Members hold JAD sessions with your end users and project management teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure that the final application meets the needs and requirements of the business. Successful implementation of any application depends upon direct and candid input from your project management team and the end user community.
Project Planning and Tracking
CyberPoint Project Managers use Microsoft Project for planning and tracking of all projects. During Preliminary Project Analysis, the CyberPoint Project Team defines and develops a preliminary Project Schedule. The initial analysis phase includes deliverables of Gantt Charts, Pert Charts, Phase Definitions, Assumptions, Potential Problems Areas, and Specialized Development Notes.
The Project Schedule is refined throughout the development lifecycle to ensure that both our clients and our Team Members are fully aware of any changes in the requirements, timeframes and development phases. By making all Project Team Members aware of the schedule, the issues and any changes in requirements, the success of the project is more assured.
The CyberPoint Team is well aware of the need to correctly, efficiently and effectively track the status of the project. With Microsoft Project, management (at our client sites and at CyberPoint) can provide the support necessary to ensure that the project remains on track and the delivery date is met.
Dynamics and Flexibility
CyberPoint has always held dynamics and flexibility as two of the most important features of any application.
Without designs that include dynamic application flows, database designs and application processing controls, the resulting application is often too rigid or too structured to handle the changing needs of the business.
Without flexibility in the application design, the application can quickly become a costly maintenance nightmare. Lowering the cost of application maintenance by reducing the amount of down the road MIS intervention is a goal of the CyberPoint Team.
